Board & Batten – The Benefits

Board & Batten provides many benefits to any project. A step up from vinyl, and lighter than concrete options available on the market today, here are just some of the advantages that Metex Architectural’s Board & Batten siding panel offers:

  • Hidden Fastener System – With a convenient nailing fin, this panel is easily installed with wafer screws, requiring no additional parts. Each panel is fastened to the wall with the next panel clipping into the previous panel, concealing the fasteners and providing a clean and sleek finish.
  • Longevity & Durability – Regardless of the gauge selected, steel lasts a lifetime. Resisting damage from the typical weather elements even in the harshest of environments, this panel will outperform any other material on the market.
  • Low Maintenance – Unlike other materials that require painting, filling, crack repairs, replacement due to warping, steel only requires simple wash with mild soap and water semi-annually with an annual inspection to keep your building looking brand new!
  • Fire Rating – Steel roofing and siding is designated with a Class A fire rating, and is one of the most non-combustible materials with the greatest strength to stand up to a fire.
